Hobo - Hobo was first discovered in a snowdrift in 1920 and soon became the unofficial mascot of Ocean City. Hobo died on December 8, 1936; he was 18 to 19 years old.
At first, the small monument was placed at the high-school lawn. Later, it was relocated to the lawn of Historical Museum of Ocean City. In the summer of 1999 the monument was damaged by vandals and was removed for repairs; after being repaired, the Hobo Monument was rededicated in 2000.
